About Us

Greetings!  We are the 2010 Rotary Group Study Exchange Outbound Team to Finland from the Oklahoma District #5750.  We will be leaving Oklahoma City on May 9 and traveling around southwestern Finland until June 10.  During this time, we will be visiting local Rotary clubs.  Our visits with the clubs will include vocational visits, touring, cultural experiences, and many presentations about life in Oklahoma.  We are excited about the many adventures our hosts have planned for us.

Many thanks to our sponsoring Rotary Clubs: Weatherford Rotary Club, OKC Capitol, OKC Heartland, OKC Bricktown, and Edmond Summit.  We'd also like to extend a special thank you to Evan Walter for providing guidance and mentoring us throughout this process.

The piece behind us was created by world renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.  It is the Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick Memorial Tower, stands 55 feet tall and is comprised of 2,100 individually blown glass parts weighing 21,000 pounds.  The Tower stands in the atrium of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

Team members from left to right are: Lynn Goldberg, Amy Scott, Team Leader Jill Jones, Aimee Ahpeatone, and Robynn Poortvliet.
